Holly Herndon – Chorus

Art house producer Holly Herndon returns on a new track that takes more than a little influence from the sounds and iconography of Oneohtrix’s R + 7. And it’s fantastic. Video director Akihiko Taniguchi takes the rat nest chic of “Still Life” and expands upon it with warped meta-computer simulations and flying Japanese consumables. The music is thrilling and mind altering with a entire chorus of garbled computer voices all fighting against one another. This audiovisual project has me really looking forward to her upcoming EP, also titled Chorus.
