Tim Carlton-McQueen

Hailing from the Bayou of Louisiana, and the son of a alligator and shrimp farmer, Tim Carlton-McQueen is one of the original contributors to Ravedeaf. Growing up in the south Tim developed a taste for killer bluegrass, punk and electronic music. Tim currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico and can occasionally be found at local venues such as the Sunshine Theater and the Launchpad. In his reviews Tim tends to blur the first, second and third person in order to create a casual atmosphere for discussion and he is not afraid to bluntly voice his opinions. An example of this would be that he thinks Lil B is extremely overrated and that Courier is the best font. Every year Tim puts out an album of the year list and this year’s top ten were:

10. The Bones of What You Believe – Chvrches

9. Love Has Come For You – Steve Martin

8. Afraid of Heights – Wavves

7. Old – Danny Brown

6. Melophobia – Cage the Elephant

5. Went Wenu – Omar Souleyman

4. Run The Jewels

3. Amsterdam Trap Music – Yellow Claw

2. The Hand(s) that Thieve(s) – Streetlight Manifesto/Toh Kay

1. Modern Vampires of the City – Vampire Weekend
