Adam Wood

Adam Wood

A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, I hardly have the background in music that a music writer could and should classically have. Despite my lack of interest and talent in the making of music, however, I’ve been an avid and lifelong music enthusiast. The first album I ever bought for myself was Enema of the State by Blink-182; I was, I believe, five years old, and my mom made me throw away the CD casing and booklet because it was overly sexualized. The most recent album I (formally) purchased was Rival Dealer EP by Burial, and my taste in music over the last dozen-odd years has spanned nearly everything in between, be it hip-hop, jazz, or metal. Outside of music, my passions include marine life and the aquarium, online shopping at embarrassingly high prices, selling frozen yogurt to cute girls, eating cereal in bulk, nonfiction writing, and playing pickup sports at a very, very low level. My personal heroes are Pharrell, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Max Bemis, for unexplained and very poor reasons. My goals for 2014 are to stay serious about Ravedeaf and help it grow into something amazing and become really good at racquetball. And get scholarships to college, I guess.
